Plastic Recycling

Why is plastic recycling important?

Plastic take hundreds of years to decompose and each bottle leaks harmful chemicals into the environment during the process. Recycling plays a crucial role in conserving natural resources and reducing the negative impact of waste on our environment. By recycling, we can save energy, reduce water pollution, and decrease greenhouse gas emissions. It also helps to extend the lifespan of landfills by diverting waste from these sites. Teaching our students about recycling at an early age instils lifelong habits that can have a long-lasting positive impact on our planet.

What do we recycle?

SchoolPET encourages students to recycle all types of plastic bottles and containers from their homes and at the school.

Plastic waste is a significant environmental concern. We recycle all types of plastic bottles and food containers to minimize harm to our oceans and wildlife.
